Guruvayur Temple Extends Darshan Timings from November 16 to January 19
Considering the heavy influx of devotees during the Guruvayur Mandalam-Makaravilakku and Ekadasi celebrations, the Guruvayur Devaswom has decided to extend darshan timings by one hour from November 16 to January 19. During this period, the temple gates will open at 3:30 PM in the evening. Guruvayur Temple Darshan Timings Changes in Rituals
- Udayasthamana Pooja (a full-day offering to the deity) will not be performed on these days, except on Tuesdays, when the Devaswom will conduct its official Udayasthamana Pooja.
- The next Udayasthamana Pooja will be scheduled for the last week of January.
Ekadasi Celebrations
The Ekadasi Vilakku (special lamp lighting ritual) will begin on Monday, marking the start of the sacred observances leading up to the Ekadasi festival.

This decision was announced following a meeting of the Guruvayur Devaswom Administrative Committee chaired by Dr. V.K. Vijayan, the committee’s chairman.
