Three Elephants to Grace Guruvayur Temple’s Night Processions Again
The Guruvayur Devaswom Management Committee has decided to reinstate Three Elephants to Return for Guruvayur Temple, including the “Thrivathira Vilakku Ezhunnallippu” and “Kaazhcha Seeveli.” This decision will be implemented starting January 1.
Previously, due to a directive from the High Court, the temple procession was limited to a single elephant from December 8. However, following the Supreme Court’s stay on the High Court’s order regarding elephant processions, the Devaswom Committee decided to restore the traditional three-elephant procession. The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Devaswom Chairman Dr. V.K. Vijayan.
