The Devaswom Administrator has reported the availability of these 439 vacancies to the Kerala Devaswom Recruitment Board (KDRB). A recruitment notification is expected within a month, and the hiring process should be completed within five months, according to KDRB Chairman K.B. Mohandas. Special consideration will be given to those who have been working temporarily, as instructed by the Supreme Court.

Of the 1,029 total positions within the Devaswom, 590 are already filled by permanent employees. The remaining 439 positions have been occupied by temporary staff for years. Although the Devaswom has previously regularized employees with over 10 years of temporary service, legal barriers have recently prevented them from doing so.

This matter was brought to the Supreme Court by affected employees, and after four years of litigation, a verdict was passed three months ago. The Court ruled that the temporary employees cannot be regularized, which has led to the current recruitment process.
