Guruvayur, Kerala – The Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple, one of the most revered pilgrimage centres in India, recently received a remarkable offering that has caught the attention of devotees. A 100-kilogram pure silver lock has been donated for the temple’s Nalambalam door, adding both beauty and enhanced security to the sacred space.
The offering was made by a devotee from Thiruvananthapuram, who chose to remain low-profile about the contribution. The silver lock was crafted with intricate designs and traditional craftsmanship, ensuring it blends perfectly with the temple’s heritage architecture. According to temple sources, the work was completed after several stages of preparation and detailed measurements to ensure authenticity and durability.
Currently, the temple has around 300 kilograms of silver offerings, and the new lock adds to this growing collection of valuable contributions made by devotees over time. Temple authorities inspected and approved the lock before it was formally handed over for installation.
The Guruvayur temple continues to receive various offerings from devotees around the world, each reflecting their deep faith and devotion to Lord Guruvayurappan.
